TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by M.A.D WORKERS LTD (the "Company"), a handyman service provider based at 23 Ferguslie, Paisley PA1 2QU. By booking any service with us, you (the "Client") agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Services

The Company offers a variety of handyman services, including but not limited to general repairs, maintenance, installations, and other home improvement tasks. The specific scope of services will be agreed upon in writing before the commencement of work.

3. Quotations and Pricing

3.1 All quotations provided by the Company are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of the quotation, unless otherwise stated.
3.2 The Company reserves the right to adjust the price if there are changes to the scope of work after the quotation has been provided.
3.3 Prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment for services is due upon completion of the agreed work unless an alternative arrangement has been made in writing.
4.2 The Company accepts payment by bank transfer, cheque, or cash.
4.3 Late payments may incur a fee of 5% of the total invoice amount for each day the payment is overdue.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

5.1 Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled service.
5.2 Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted cost.
5.3 Rescheduling of services must be agreed upon in advance and is subject to the availability of the Company.

6. Liability

6.1 The Company will take reasonable care when performing services but will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising from the performance of its services.
6.2 The Company is fully insured and will take responsibility for any damage directly caused by negligence during the provision of services.
6.3 The Company is not responsible for any issues arising from pre-existing faults, defects, or weaknesses in the Client's property.

7. Warranty

7.1 The Company provides a 1-month warranty on all workmanship. This does not cover materials, which are subject to the manufacturer's warranty.
7.2 Any claims under the warranty must be made within the warranty period. The Company reserves the right to inspect and rectify any issues related to the workmanship at no additional charge.

8. Materials and Supplies

8.1 The Company can provide all necessary materials for the work. The cost of materials can be paid either upfront or on the day of the invoice, depending on the arrangement agreed upon between the Client and the Company prior to the start of the work.
8.2 If the Client chooses to provide their own materials, all materials must be purchased and available before the work begins. The Company will not be held responsible for any delays caused by missing or incomplete materials.
8.3 The Company will provide all necessary tools and equipment to complete the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Health and Safety

9.1 The Company will adhere to all health and safety regulations during the performance of its services.
9.2 The Client agrees to provide a safe working environment for the Company’s employees and subcontractors.

10. Dispute Resolution

10.1 Any disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through negotiation.
10.2 If a resolution cannot be reached, the parties agree to submit the dispute to mediation or arbitration in accordance with UK law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
